Chaos reigns. Trump is crying wolf again. How many more times will the market believe him? And Bitcoin has quietly reached a critical moment.
1. This morning, Trump said the US-Iran war was about to end, causing a surge in US stock futures after hours, and Bitcoin followed suit. But guess what? Trump announced he was sending ground troops immediately after saying that! The market was completely bewildered. So when will this war actually end?
2. My conclusion: I think this time it might really be ending soon. Because Trump's goals in attacking Iran are demilitarization and denuclearization. The first goal has been achieved, and the second goal is underway. The US military has already launched its second attack on the Natanz nuclear facility. Once the enriched uranium is destroyed, Trump can triumphantly declare victory.
3. So Trump is actually considering backing down. If the US stock market falls too much, he might quickly back down, just like during last year's tariff war, leading to a huge rebound in US stocks and the cryptocurrency market. But here's the question: this US-Iran war did cause a sharp drop in US stocks, but Bitcoin didn't fall much. Will Bitcoin rise after the war ends?
4. So this is the tricky part. I think even if the war ends, Bitcoin might see a strong rebound driven by the US stock market, but the magnitude might not be significant. The current price of 70,000 isn't very low; a major rebound will only occur after the market has bottomed out. We'll assess the situation then and decide how to proceed.
5. The war isn't over yet, so we still need to continue our daily operations. Yesterday, we shorted from 71,300 to 69,600, perfectly taking profit. We've already profited from this level once; a second time wouldn't be as reliable, so we'd only trade with a small position. I'm more focused on the next resistance level around 73,000. I'll definitely short another lot near that level.
6. As for the US stock market, as shown in the chart, I previously held a large number of long-term short positions. Although the war won't end immediately, I think it might be soon. We can't be too greedy. I'll consider exiting on dips and only consider adding more positions when Trump truly declares "victory." Our trading style is conservative and not aggressive because I know that cryptocurrency trading isn't about who makes money quickly, but who survives the longest!
