According to a report by #PeckShieldAlert ZachXBT, on January 10, 2026, a victim lost over $282 million worth of Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin (BTC) in a hardware wallet social engineering scam. The attackers bridged 928.7 BTC (approximately $71 million) to Ethereum (ETH) ($19,631.1), Ripple (XRP) ($3.15 million), and Litecoin (LTC) ($77,200) via #THORChain. Subsequently, 1,468.66 ETH ($4.9 million) was laundered via #TornadoCash, 735 ETH ($2.4 million) was sent to #WhiteBit, 100 ETH was sent to #ChangeNOW, 2,402 ETH ($8 million) was sent to #KuCoin, and 143 ETH ($477,000) was sent to #Huobi.
