Bitcoin is ownerless, but some malicious individuals have formed a Bitcoin community, clamoring for a fork and upgrade to enable Turing-complete UTXO native Bitcoin smart contracts on the BTC chain, predicated on opening OP_CAT. First of all, opening OP_CAT is impossible. Opening it would lead to data overflow. Even if it were implemented using Segregated Witness, what would be the point of BTC's Turing completeness? From an EVM perspective, how is this better than smart chains like Ethereum? Using smart contracts with Bitcoin is like using a solar-powered flashlight; it works when there's sunlight, but at night or in low-light conditions, you need another flashlight to illuminate it.
