Fun fact: Did you know that the sound of "Crazy Frog" was actually made by a 17-year-old Swedish boy mimicking the sound of a two-stroke engine?
His name is Daniel Malmedal. In 1997, he recorded the video as a joke, uploaded it to the internet, and then forgot about it.
Six years later, a Swedish animator stumbled upon the file, spent eight weeks creating a character based on it, and posted it online. He had no idea who created the sound effect. The attribution was simply "Anonymous."
A ringtone company discovered the character, renamed it "Crazy Frog," and made over $400 million.
Daniel was 24 when the company reached its peak; at the time, he was a computer parts salesman.
