I think we seem to have a tacit acceptance at every level that running a node is an extremely demanding operational task that should be left to professionals. This is not the case. We need to reverse this. Running your own Ethereum infrastructure should be a fundamental right for every individual and every household. "High hardware requirements, therefore high skill and time requirements" is not an excuse. Even those who can afford high-end hardware, dedicated staking equipment, etc., typically don't have much free time. Running a node should be simple.
