Tron carries 90% of USDT, but it will eventually lose its dominance to "gas kings" like Plasma.
Many haven't realized that Tron's success wasn't due to technology, but rather the cheapest and fastest transfer experience of its time. However, the crypto environment has changed.
I've recently been focusing on Plasma because it did something truly remarkable: it blurred the concept of "gas fees" at the protocol layer. Currently, ordinary users transferring USDT have to buy TRX or ETH as fees, which is inherently counterintuitive. Plasma directly supports "zero-gas transfers to USDT," with fees absorbed internally by the protocol or deducted by USDT.
What does this mean? Plasma isn't trying to compete with Ethereum for the title of L2 leader; it's aiming to take over Tron's territory. If one day you don't need to buy small amounts of cryptocurrency to hold as gas for transfers, would you still return to Tron?
Liquidity in the crypto world is always profit-driven and tends towards "laziness." Plasma's "gas-free" playstyle is truly a game-changer.
