A comparison has been repeatedly made these past few days:
Gold's market capitalization increase in 3 days is roughly equivalent to the entire Bitcoin network.
Silver's market capitalization expansion in 1 day is roughly equivalent to the entire Ethereum network.
They are simply different amounts of capital choosing different containers at different stages.
When risk is repriced, the market first chooses familiar, sufficiently large assets that can quickly absorb capital.
I prefer to view this as a structural observation rather than a conclusion.
