This move aims to ensure the transparency and verifiability of public records, starting with labor market data and gradually expanding to include more. 1/ Public Data The Bermuda government uploaded public datasets to the Filecoin network. @FilFoundation supported this work through the Cabinet Office and the Department of Digital Innovation. The focus is on ensuring the reliability and verifiability of public records. 2/ Democracy Library This upload was conducted through @internetarchive's Democracy Library, a free global repository of government documents. Filecoin already holds over 1PB of public data, including archives from the U.S. and Aruba governments. 3/ Initial Datasets The initial datasets include employment and labor publications tracking the Bermuda labor market. These records form part of the national public archive. More datasets will be added in subsequent phases. 4/ Verifiable Records @Filecoin distributes data to various independent storage providers. Each file receives a cryptographic identifier that changes as the data is modified. This makes public records verifiable and allows for direct detection of tampering. 5/ Public Infrastructure Bermuda has built its public infrastructure on top of its digital asset frameworks (DABA and BMA).
