Currently, among the various PERP DEXs, @OfficialApeXdex and $APEX are facing uncertainty about their future. After announcing they would be learning from @Aster_DEX, the price rose from 0.2 to 2.8. Then, after various reposts from @Mantle_Official, it stabilized at 1.5. Finally, with market fluctuations, the price dropped from 1.5 to 0.5 after October 11th. Essentially, everyone who bought in due to the new coin's positive news is now trapped. During the S1 launch, there were weekly fee buybacks. It's unclear whether 0.5 will hold after S1 ends and the buybacks stop. 😂 $APEX has basically trapped everyone. Even more interestingly, it seems there's no immediate plan to launch a new coin/chain. Currently, they're contacting a large number of people to "guarantee" or "cover" S1 points so that no one loses money. So, in the end, everyone is just trying to "avoid losing money." (The options are to retain points or other new coins/chains, or exchange them for $APEX) But here's the problem: if your cost basis was around 0.7u in the first week, and now it's 0.2-0.3u, what price is the guaranteed floor? Anyway, what we know so far is that almost everyone who got on this "pirate ship" has lost money. What's even more interesting is that after the only interaction after the pump, there's been no further interaction between @Bybit_Official and @OfficialApeXdex. So, how reliable is the Bybit + Mantle support that's been touted every day? Those in the know know the team is broke, the team sells coins, the team runs away first, the team calls on people to manipulate the market 😂. Only now do we realize that the day @Bybit_Official launched the contract was to get everyone to short it 😭, it's too late to wake up.
