I was wiped out three times before I started making money in trading.
Everyone says find a strategy, cultivate "discipline," and then you'll make money.
This is the most absurd and misleading advice in retail trading.
Because discipline can never be developed through "practice" like a habit. You can't improve discipline through repeated practice like you train for sports.
That kind of false discipline might be effective before real pressure hits, but once the pressure comes, you'll completely collapse.
If your mindset is the weakest link in your entire trading system, then no strategy will work for you.
Because the harsh truth is this:
> If life hasn't broken you (multiple times), you simply don't possess the psychological resilience and self-discipline that the traders you admire have.
> Their strategies are effective because they are combined with an inner resilience that most people don't yet have.
> The composure you see in profitable traders isn't something acquired through "practice."
> This self-discipline stems from experiencing countless pains, to the point that old instincts have no choice but to die.
Their self-discipline comes from destruction, not determination.
With luck and false self-discipline, you might make money, but you can never keep it.
So, how do you acquire "real" self-discipline? 👇
You can't cultivate self-discipline "gradually" over time.
It happens suddenly and violently, usually when you're at your most desperate, when your old self completely collapses.
It's like arguing with someone. Some people remain calm and bluntly point out the other person's weaknesses. Others break down and cry.
The difference isn't "self-control."
It's that the calm people have already experienced worse situations, so the current predicament is insignificant to them. Chaos can't shake them because they've weathered bigger storms, not because they've "practiced patience."
So, if you're currently at a low point in your life, don't waste time 👇
In life, people don't have many opportunities for transformation.
It's a waste to squander all your emotional energy attacking the world or alienating those who love you. You're wasting energy that should be used to improve yourself.
> Invest that energy in your personal growth.
> Invest that energy in quiet moments that allow you to sit down and truly confront your shame and fear.
> First, write down the 30 things you fear or are most ashamed of.
> This may sound trivial, but it's significant because the "everything's going well" you'll never have the courage to face this list.
Many people believe the secret to trading lies in more strategies, more macro research, and more knowledge.
They're wrong.
The real secret lies in completely stepping outside the trading framework to recognize and accept your own flaws, your inner demons.
Stop studying other people's success!
Study how they overcame their low points 👇
> People like to praise others for being smart or disciplined, then copy their habits as if that would magically work.
> No. You can't replicate success because half of it depends on luck, timing, and advantages you don't possess.
But you can learn from how they fell and got back up:
> How they faced losing everything
> How they persevered when most people would give up
> How they transformed pain into strength instead of self-loathing
These are real experiences. These experiences are worth learning from.
These experiences are gained through hardship, not as innate talents or privileges.
Success is personal. But the path to death is vastly different.
