I was enjoying my coffee, scrolling through Twitter, and saw @zama_fhe's update about "Genesis Operators." Did you know? Zama's network is now like a cryptographic "Avengers": 18 of the most powerful nodes have clear divisions of labor—13 KMS guarding the keys, 5 FHE coprocessors handling the computations, all running on a decentralized MPC architecture. This means that even if you hack a single node, you can't get the complete private key. Everyone holds only a "small piece of the truth," and together they form the complete key. This reminds me of my college roommates. No one knew the WiFi password, so we had to rely on the dorm leader to piece it together to get online. Zama has now turned this "password-splitting" mechanism into a science.
Among the Genesis Operators, there are examples like Figment, a leading global staking infrastructure provider with $17 billion in assets. Another example is InfStones, which runs validators for over 80 chains and is used by Binance, OKX, and Circle. Furthermore, Zama's governance mechanism is quite interesting: any protocol changes—such as software updates, adding new chains, or adjusting transaction fees—require approval from a majority of operators. In the event of an attack or anomaly, operators can coordinate and halt the system, and recovery requires multi-party confirmation. Violations? Slashed, no questions asked. Zama's design logic is very realistic: "Trust isn't about words, but about distributed proof." With top institutions providing security and community governance, the FHE technology in between ensures data integrity and verifiability. I suddenly realized that this isn't just an ordinary encryption protocol, but more like a "firewall for a private internet." If ordinary blockchains are building bridges, Zama is building foundations—the kind that won't budge even if an earthquake strikes.
As I write this, I realize my coffee has long gone cold.
But Zama's security logic is getting more and more appealing the more I think about it.
