I recently came across the progress of BOB (@build_on_bob), and it's quite interesting. Previously, cross-chain bridges were like walking on a single-plank bridge, prone to pitfalls if you weren't careful. This time, they've brought BitVM onto the platform, effectively putting a safety lock on BTC's path to DeFi. Using simple fraud proofs and verifiable logic, they've implemented risk control on-chain, allowing BTC to cross over to ecosystems like Ethereum and Solana without compromising security and minimizing the cost of trust. They've seamlessly "brought" Bitcoin's core security into DeFi. River's approach is even more intuitive: satUSD can be minted with native BTC collateral, without wrapping or locking up coins in someone else's black box; satUSD can be staked to earn returns backed by real income; the smart vault primarily offers BTC returns with zero liquidation risk; and liquidity can flow natively between BOB, Base, and Arbitrum. River's TVL has already reached $600 million, proving this approach isn't just a PowerPoint presentation; it's actually being used and the funds are being retained. Adding to the pressure is the integration with Chainlink. Decentralized oracles enhance data credibility, and combined with the composability of @build_on_bob's EVM-like architecture, developers can build complex applications directly on top of Bitcoin's security. The result: retaining the stability of BTC's underlying infrastructure while adding Ethereum-style flexibility, enabling high-performance upper-layer applications without sacrificing security margins. From a strategic perspective, this also makes sense: it provides coin holders with an additional path to profitability, eliminating the need for them to "hold on to their coins"; the halving also provides more value channels for miners; and it builds a bridge that bridges the gap between Bitcoin's "minimalist" spirit and innovative applications. Isn't everyone calling for "making BTC truly move"? BOB's approach has transformed that slogan into a toolchain. Simply put, I'm now labeling BOB the "front door to Bitcoin → DeFi." BitVM backs it up, River proves availability, and Chainlink secures the data—together, it's a long-term path forward. Before we get started this weekend, a note: BTC's DeFi story has just begun, and this time, I'm not just telling a story. @cookiedotfun #BuildOnBOB #Bitcoin #DeFi
