Space and Time, a Microsoft-powered ZK verification data blockchain project, officially announced today that its mainnet has been launched. As the first decentralized database network to provide zero-knowledge proof (ZK) verification data for smart contracts, Space and Time will empower developers to build the next generation of verifiable, data-driven on-chain applications.

Break through the data boundaries on the chain and unlock new paradigms for smart contracts

Currently, smart contracts cannot access historical data, cross-chain information or off-chain databases natively, which greatly limits the complexity and functionality of on-chain applications. Space and Time solves this core pain point with its decentralized validation network:

  • Multi-chain data index: real-time synchronization of mainstream blockchain data such as Ethereum and store it in a distributed network maintained by verification nodes;
  • Proof of SQL: Query verification technology based on sub-second ZK coprocessor to ensure that the SQL database query results can be called securely by smart contracts;
  • Enterprise-level compatibility: For the first time, seamless encryption connection between enterprise cloud databases and smart contracts is realized, eliminating the risk of data tampering.

Space and Time chief contributor Scott Dykstra said:

“Before Space and Time, on-chain applications had to call basic user data, either sacrificed security or faced the risk of centralized tampering. Today, developers can build complex data-intensive DApps through cryptographic proofs—from dynamic financial derivatives to AI-powered on-chain proxying, and even tokenized systems for physical assets.”

Technical cornerstone: The cutting-edge exploration of MakeInfinite Labs

Space and Time is incubated by MakeInfinite Labs, a cutting-edge protocol lab that has received $50 million investment from Microsoft M12 Ventures and other institutions. It has long been committed to crypto-eco-infrastructure innovation, and its technical contributions include:

  • Proof of SQL: The first coprocessor to provide ZK proof for database queries
  • Blitzar: High-performance ZK proof framework
  • Elastic Network ZK Chain: Elastic Verification Network designed for Space and Time
  • Industry standard agreements such as Chainlink DeFi Income Index

Nate Holiday, CEO of MakeInfinite Labs and co-founder of Space and Time, stressed:

“We are building the underlying facilities that support future encryption applications. Space and Time’s architecture and technologies such as Proof of SQL will push verifiable data applications into a new stage.”

Participation in the Internet: an open, license-free verification ecosystem

Space and Time adopts a decentralized verification mechanism, and any participant can join the network through the following methods:
1. Provide high-quality data sets;
2. Pledge tokens to participate in governance;
3. Run the verification node.

About Space and Time

Space and Time is the first ZK validated data blockchain, which enables smart contracts to access and calculate any on-chain/off-chain data without trust. Its sub-second ZK coprocessor provides developers with a verifiable data layer to help build smarter on-chain applications.

About MakeInfinite Labs

MakeInfinite Labs is a lab focusing on cutting-edge research on crypto protocols. In addition to Space and Time, it has also developed a number of infrastructure to promote the development of the industry to help developers achieve value capture in the AI and data economy.
