A few days ago, I was bombarded with news about Apple's Macbook, seeing all the teachers upgrading their devices. So, I'll share my perspective on choosing the right Macbook from the angles of budget, needs, interface, and performance!
✅I. Choose by Budget (Most Realistic)
Low Budget (3k-4k)
Macbook Neo
Suitable for: Students / Light Office Work / Backup Machine
Conclusion: Usable, but limited potential
Mid-Budget (5k-12k)
Macbook Air (16GB strongly recommended)
Suitable for: 90% of ordinary users
Conclusion: Highest cost-performance ratio, longest-lasting
High Budget (15k+)
Macbook Pro
Suitable for: Creators / Heavy Users / Multi-Device Users
Conclusion: Go straight for the best option
✅II. Choose by Needs (Most Crucial)
For just watching videos, browsing the web, and light office work, the Neo is sufficient.
For everyday use and slightly more advanced tasks, such as multi-window browsing, light editing, and light productivity, the Air is the most suitable (a no-brainer).
For professional use, video editing, AI applications, multitasking, and multi-screen operation, the Pro is a must.
✅III. Choose by Interface (A Core Consideration Often Overlooked)
The Macbook Neo only has USB 2 and USB 3 ports, lacking a Thunderbolt port, resulting in weak expansion capabilities and slow data transfer!
The Macbook Air has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, sufficient for everyday use.
The Macbook Pro, with three Thunderbolt 4 ports + HDMI + SD card, is the essential choice for multi-screen operation, high-speed devices, and extensive expansion needs!
✅IV. Choose by Performance (Will You Regret It?)
Macbook Neo (A-series chip): OK for light tasks, but prone to strain over extended periods.
Macbook Air (M-series): Stable performance, should last 4-5 years without issues.
Macbook Pro (M Pro / Max): Consistently high performance output, a professional-grade productivity tool.
In short, if you want to save money, go for the Neo, but don't expect too much. For the average person who doesn't want to regret it, go for the Air. For performance, efficiency, multi-device support, and content creation, go for the Pro!
