The Cruel Struggle Between Humanity and Nature
Nature's way is to reduce the surplus and replenish the deficiency, allowing tigers to reproduce less and rats and rabbits to multiply, maintaining natural balance. Humanity, however, reduces the surplus and benefits the poor, leading to a Matthew effect where the rich get richer and the strong get stronger.
In the short term, humanity dominates, and the ruthless are more likely to win.
In the long term, nature will eventually correct itself,
but this cycle can take generations or even centuries.
Fortunately, humanity has morality, laws, and policies to "act on behalf of nature."
