Sometimes, having too many opportunities isn't a good thing. If I talk to everyone who asks, how many meetings do I actually have to schedule? With so many offers coming my way, how do I figure out how to collaborate? My energy is really limited. So, whenever I'm unsure how to solve a problem, I ask myself the following questions:
Is this situation amplifying my own personality? If not, I give up.
Is this situation draining me and preventing me from being myself? If it is, I give up.
Will this situation give me tangible benefits, especially within the next three months? If not, I give up.
Do I have to do this myself? If not, I find someone else to do it.
If I've already passed the stage of frantically searching for opportunities, time is the most valuable resource.
