In my view, one tool could make a huge leap forward in security at a minimal cost to civil liberties: making it easy for everyone to call 911 anytime, anywhere, and allowing for denial of this call.
Imagine: you pre-set a few code words, and when your watch, phone, or a local device in your home hears these words, it automatically dials 911 and temporarily transmits your real-time location information to the police.
This would be incredibly effective for cryptocurrency holders worried about being kidnapped or robbed. If we created an environment where, if you were to rob someone (whether at home or outside), there was at least a 20% chance the police would arrive immediately, leaving you no time to take anything or even know if the alarm had been triggered, then such crimes would become virtually impossible.
Furthermore, because this mechanism requires the victim to take action to be effective, the risk of the government using it against the public seems quite low.
