According to Foresight News, Osmosis has announced a major proposal to the Cosmos ecosystem to directly integrate Osmosis into the Cosmos Hub. If approved by governance on both chains, the Osmosis DEX will natively migrate to the Hub, unifying liquidity, governance, and security onto a single chain.
All circulating OSMO, except for those not yet deployed in the Osmosis community pool, will be eligible for conversion to ATOM within a specified six-month window. This currently equates to approximately 665.1 million OSMO. The conversion rate will be 0.0355 ATOM to 1.998 OSMO, based on the 30-day TWAP (public forum proposal time) of the ATOM:OSMO price on March 11, 2026.
The Cosmos Hub community pool currently holds approximately 10.11 million ATOM. This means that approximately 85% of the required ATOM has already been secured. The remaining approximately 1.75 million ATOMs represent about 0.35% of the total supply, equivalent to less than two weeks of pledged emissions. This program will not introduce any ongoing emissions or structural inflation changes. The conversion window will remain open for six months. Any unclaimed ATOMs at the end will be returned to the Cosmos Hub community pool.
