GM☕️ There's been a lot of buzz about Base's $MOLT-related smart agents these past few days, but after playing around with them myself, I've calmed down a bit. It's simple: just look at Base's on-chain metrics: TVL, DEX trading volume, daily active users, and transaction density have barely changed. The discussion is heated, but the money hasn't actually followed. Funds are currently more willing to stay in infrastructure like Aerodrome and Uniswap, rather than betting on specific smart agent tokens (the leading tokens have changed hands multiple times, from $CLAWD to $MOLT to $CLAWNCH 🤣). I'm now more conservative about this narrative. At least until Base's TVL returns to 115B and DEX daily trading volume stabilizes above 15B, it's hard to say we've entered the "realization phase"; it's more like they're laying the groundwork for the story. Another strong feeling is that social media buzz ≠ economic activity. Shares, discussions, and screenshot revenue are all very active, but without on-chain feedback, it easily becomes an emotional market. For me, it feels more like we're on the right track, but a bit too early in the game. This wave of AI agent narratives feels more like "riding the wave" than "building a position." When something new comes out, I'll still try a small amount to test the waters, ride the wave of sentiment, play with the narrative, make a quick profit, and consider any losses as tuition. But honestly, I'm not ready to establish a medium- to long-term position in these tokens right now.
