These are my notes from 2023, possibly copied from a trading post on the CT forum. Although I can't find the original source, they contain some good advice:
- There will almost always be someone with more information, faster speed, and more advanced technology who wants to make money off you.
- If you can't explain your trading advantage in five minutes, your advantage isn't strong.
- Your advantage lies in how the trade is profitable, not how it's executed.
- Only take the risks you're authorized to take; hedge other risks.
- If you lose your trading capital, you're finished.
- Survival is key; don't rely on a single risk assessment metric.
- You'll never be satisfied with your trading volume.
