Barcelona's Gothic Cathedral (not the most famous Sagrada Familia) is one of the oldest churches in Europe, with over 1000 years of history, and is a renowned representative of the Classical style, boasting exquisite carvings. Admission is paid; the usual way to check it out on social media is to go to the rooftop café of the hotel opposite the cathedral for a drink and a photo, but expect to have to queue during the peak tourist season from March to June next year.
