Faruk Fatih Ozer, founder and former CEO of the now-defunct Turkish cryptocurrency exchange Thodex, was found dead in prison, according to Bloomberg. Authorities are investigating whether it was a suicide. Ozer was sentenced to 11,196 years in prison in 2023 for fraud and other crimes. Thodex was founded in 2017 and collapsed in 2021. Ozer fled to Albania afterward and was later extradited back to Turkey.
