"The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is taking steps to end the weaponization of the financial system," said Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould. "We are working to root out banking practices that illegally cancel bank accounts or discriminate against customers based on political or religious beliefs or legitimate business activities. When the OCC becomes aware of such activity, it will take action to stop it."
