If you are given two choices: make 100 million at a time, or a trading system that can make continuous profits - which one would you choose?
I saw Chen Weixing's video some time ago.
He said that he was drinking with an entrepreneur named Shi, and the man patted him after drinking too much and said:
"We still have to work hard. Without 100 billion, we can't even get on the poker table."
At that moment, I was shocked and a little frustrated.
What shocked me was that - God, his troubles were the same as mine;
What frustrated me was that - money is never the antidote to anxiety.
So what is the answer?
What drives the top traders and entrepreneurs to continue to work hard?
I looked back at myself and found that the answer was very simple -
Keep getting better, one step at a time.
In trading language, it is: compound interest of growth.
I found this answer from sports.
For example, in tennis, I couldn't even hold the racket a year ago, but now I can play 3.0 games.
I practice 5 times a week, not to win, but because I feel happy every time I finish playing.
Why?
Because I got a little bit stronger.
Today I serve more steadily, tomorrow I forehand more solid.
And every time I get stuck, I ask the coach for targeted practice, and then I play it again and again.
Little by little, I feel that I can control my own growth.
So I look back at the question:
One hundred million, or a system?
I choose the latter.
Because the real happiness is not how much you earn,
but when you see yourself grow again and again,
and then say firmly:
"It turns out that I can really do it."
