If you've been following me for a while, you probably know I've been involved in the cryptocurrency space for almost five years. Honestly, I can't believe I've persisted this long.
I entered the market at the peak of the NFT craze in 2021. Everyone was frantically minting tokens, FOMO (fear of missing out) was rampant, and the floor price was soaring daily. And me? Holding onto my BAYC, I was working tirelessly, attending NFT NYC, running around at HK Apefest, constantly busy both online and offline.
But the past two years have felt completely different. Watching my friends quietly sell their "apes" (referring to Ape, a cryptocurrency) and exit... honestly, it stings. We've been through it all together—the hype, the chaos, the triumphs, and the crashes. And now, when I see the floor price of BAYC, I really need to take three deep breaths to calm down.
How did we get to this point?
@yugalabs really needs to reflect on this.
The community has been constantly self-promoting, chanting slogans, and endlessly reassuring itself, but official progress has been so slow that I sometimes wonder if the entire team has gone on vacation. The direction is unclear, execution is weak, and many times I don't even know who's really at the helm.
Meanwhile, @pudgypenguins is actually doing something:
🔹 Building strength
🔹 Developing products
🔹 Expanding intellectual property
🔹 Collaborating with brands across various industries
You can see Pudgy's presence on almost any social media platform.
Frankly,
@BoredApeYC loses in every aspect.
Narrative, execution, branding, community culture.
Pudgy completely outclasses them in every single one, and by a huge margin.
I don't intend to sow discord or create conflict, but as a BAYC holder for nearly four years, I believe I have the right to say this.
This isn't a problem with the NFT bear market.
This is a problem with Yuga.
I once loved it, owned it, and believed in it.
But looking at its current floor price, all I can say is:
The club we once imitated together… now, those memories are more valuable than the asset itself.
