This morning I checked the Fed's rate cut, and as expected, it cut by 25 basis points, from 4% to 3.75%. The dot plot projects a 3.125% interest rate in 2026, suggesting a potential rate cut of 50-75 basis points that year. However, the key focus is on Powell's term ending in May, and Trump's appointment of a more compliant Fed chair.
Short-term price movements are unpredictable, but the market has moved from quantitative tightening to quantitative easing. 2026 should be a fruitful year. For now, simply hold your positions and wait for the price to rise before selling.
