These countries will implement cryptocurrency capital controls—either through laws or regulations. We're already seeing this. In the UK, the Bank of England is trying to prevent citizens from holding more than £10,000 per person in stablecoins—similar (or worse) cryptocurrency capital controls will begin to appear in many countries over the next 6-12 months as authorities respond. These capital controls will drive more people into DeFi and cryptocurrencies. Freedom on the internet knows no borders.
