To date, I've processed $1.37 million in transactions through @WhopIO. Here's my full review:
First, let's talk about their overall support.
I can say without exaggeration that they have the best customer service I've ever experienced. Three things impressed me:
1) They created a private Slack channel specifically for our company, with a person named Ari. Ari likes to use a special method: you message him with a question, and he'll show you a Loom demo within 48 seconds.
2) Our entire sales team is on this Slack channel. When we need to create, adjust, or transfer subscriptions, we simply ask our questions on the channel, and Ari solves them for us.
3) Ari is now also on our internal accounts receivable channel. When payments fail, Whop checks which company failed and ensures customers can change bank cards, split payments, etc.—all handled by them. We don't have to worry about anything; they take care of everything.
Other advantages of Whop:
1) Direct integration with funding partners like Klarna and SplitIt, dynamically displaying them to buyers when available. Users can also pay with cryptocurrency. Very convenient.
2) Our fees are about 0.5% lower than Stripe accounts. This saves us tens of thousands of dollars per month. The savings go directly into advertising, allowing us to earn more profit.
We launched a follow-on sale for a large challenge, and the Whop team was with us until 9 pm to ensure payments went smoothly, adjust installments, create links, help us retry payments, etc.
Platform disadvantages:
The user interface needs significant improvement. Currently, the interface feels inconsistent and somewhat awkward to use. If they could hire some talented UI/UX designers, the interface would definitely be much better. I will use Whop for payment processing, but not for hosting products at the moment.
Overall experience: 9/10
