I listened to an interview with angel investor @eladgil at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025.
He has invested in Perplexity, Character.AI, Harvey, and is also an early investor in companies like Stripe, Airbnb, and Coinbase.
The interview mainly discussed the current state of the AI market and his investment decisions.
He mentioned that when he started investing in AI in 2021, the market was extremely uncertain; "the more you learn, the less you know." But now the landscape is becoming clearer: there are about a dozen players in the basic model layer, the customer support field is consolidating, and vertical markets such as finance and law are still unclear. Regarding agents, he is cautious, believing that the infrastructure is still lacking, models can "lie," and his current capabilities are only at the level of "from intern to graduate."
