In my opinion, @cz_binance should be pardoned. His prosecution was politically motivated, and his punishment was grossly unfair. He was imprisoned for failing to maintain an effective compliance program. Bankers frequently commit compliance violations, but they're never let off. They pay their fines and walk away. Cryptocurrency shouldn't be treated with double standards. Incidentally, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has always put his clients first, bringing millions of people around the world into the cryptocurrency industry and giving them the opportunity for financial freedom and a better life.
When it comes to fair competition, the US has been interfering in our industry at every turn over the past decade, and that's not CZ's fault. Regardless of Binance's violations, they would never have gained an advantage over US cryptocurrency companies if it weren't for the all-out attack, obstruction, and suppression directed against them by every US agency and financial regulator. The fact that non-compliance is a strength, not a weakness, speaks volumes about the failure of US policy over the past decade.
