Kaito's activities are scheduled until October 1st, so there's no reason to worry about early releases, just like a cookie. So, it's time to catch up.
Let's look at another area worth watching: @OpenledgerHQ.
It's not targeting "big and comprehensive" AI, but rather the niche field of Specialized Language Models (SLMs).
It has two main strategies:
PoA (Proof of Ownership): Engrave the data source on-chain, ensuring that contributions are shared.
Payable AI: AI models can generate revenue themselves, automatically distributing the profits to developers and data providers.
In terms of technical implementation, they've played two cards:
OpenLoRA: A cost-effective solution, capable of running thousands of models on a single card.
Datanets: Community-generated datasets to prevent AI from "eating fake data."
The advantages are clear: lower barriers to entry and ensuring fairness. The risks are also there: technical implementation is difficult, ecosystem development is not feasible, and token pressure is a real concern.
In short: If AI is a gold mine, then Openledger wants to create a mining certificate + ledger system. The vision is big enough and worth keeping an eye on, but don’t forget the pitfalls.
