Hawaii is really nice. I'm thinking of buying a property here. It seems like it would be much more comfortable to adjust to the time difference after traveling from Asia to the United States. The business and climate are within my acceptable range, and the property tax is not high. I'll be using it purely for myself and won't do short-term rentals. When it's empty, it will be empty. I mainly don't like having other people living there. Has anyone tried to dissuade me?
