The fighting has lasted for nine days. During these nine days, there has been a lot of information, including much misinformation, but one basic fact remains true:
1. Iran is not as weak as some claim;
2. The US is not as strong as some claim.
As for how many US military bases in the Middle East have been destroyed, or how much damage has been done to Israel and Iran, that's no longer important. The most important thing is that failing to take down Iran in nine days is a failure in itself. The longer the conflict drags on, the more likely it is to become apparent.
In fact, the intensity of the war has decreased over the past nine days; bombing raids by both sides are less frequent than at the beginning. The impact on the market is likely to be diminishing (unless new events occur).
Could today's high for crude oil be the high point for this phase?
That's for everyone to think about.
