The fifth launch in October 2024 saw noticeable black smoke from the booster during recovery. Although the landing was successful, thermal protection and engine stability still needed improvement.
The seventh launch in January 2025 saw significantly less smoke during booster recovery and a faster landing. This was thanks to optimized engine throttling technology and upgraded thermal protection systems, resulting in a significantly improved recovery success rate.
