"Elon is a bit mischievous, but also very funny, really funny. He loves his children very much and is incredibly devoted to them. His personality is unpredictable; he's truly one of the strangest people I've ever met. He occasionally has a moment of clarity, realizes his mistake, and then returns to normal. He'll say something mischievous or funny, with a smile on his face. He's intelligent in many areas, well-read, and very witty. He loves movies. We went to see the new *The Lego Movie*, and afterwards he insisted that people call him 'Business Tycoon.' He tries to come home early to have dinner with me and the kids, and maybe play computer games with them. The kids will tell us about their day, and then we'll put them to bed. People don't realize there's an incredible innocence in Elon. Sometimes he's completely absorbed in pure joy." Sometimes he can't feel it, and sometimes he's genuinely angry. When he can truly feel an emotion, it's so pure and intense that nothing else can interfere. Very few people can do that. If he sees something funny, he'll laugh heartily, completely unaware that we're in a crowded theater, unaware of the other people around us. He's like a child, adorable and wonderful. He'll say strange things, like, "I'm a complex person, but I have very simple but specific needs," or "No man is an island unless he has a broad mind, a broad mind." We make lists of things we want to do. His recent list includes: walking on the beach at sunset, whispering in each other's ears, and riding horses more often.
