As the year draws to a close, our family's usual routine has kicked into motion again—discussing the 108 downsides of women not getting married.
The opposing team's fourth debater was incredibly eloquent, while our team had only one representative, making it difficult to compete with the crowd, which was unpleasant.
The market is also sluggish, which is also unpleasant.
These past few days, I've been listening to podcasts, and I heard Duan Yongping say that no matter what you do, increasing happiness is the ultimate goal. That really resonated with me! 😆
So I decided to shift my focus and do something I've always been too afraid to do, to find some joy~
This is a 30-meter rappelling downhill. First, I climbed for two hours to the top of the mountain (thanks to my friend who dragged me there in the last half hour), then crawled for half a day to rappel down to the bottom with a single rope.
Really, just one rope!! Before jumping, the instructor pulled me down to look below, and I collapsed to the ground.
But my mind is quick; I immediately thought about how to save myself if the rope broke, and realized there was no way…
The instructor was incredibly kind, singing and dancing to encourage me, and then, without warning, pushed me off the cliff. I was terrified and cried, thankfully you can't see it in the video 😂
Then, suddenly, I felt that exhilarating feeling of "surviving a near-death experience," that feeling of rebirth. All I could think was: I survived!! I conquered 30 meters!!
Dopamine surged, and we turned into a bunch of wild monkeys from the mountains, cheering and shouting like we'd won a battle.
So this is what happiness is.
You don't need A8, A9, or A10, just a rope. Next time I'll try Via Ferrata 😝
Life should have more moments like this.
I encourage everyone to try it. When you're suspended in the air, you definitely won't be thinking, "Why isn't she replying to my messages?" or "When will this garbage situation end?" 😂
