Before AI emerged, I felt there were no more than five people in the entire industry who could surpass me in comprehensive investment research. After AI became widespread, I feel the chances of outperforming AI in investment research outside of one's specialized area are slim. Therefore, the more successful investments afterward are mostly psychologically comforting, motivational, and inspirational. For a detached and rational person like me, this was quite a blow, and I no longer feel like writing.
