While browsing @0xhealthshared recently, I realized that Health Protocol is completely different from the health forums we used to frequent. The logic of traditional forums is: platform = boss, content = traffic, you = user data. Posts can be deleted, buried, or manipulated by algorithms, but you have almost no say in any of it. What I understand as Health Protocol is more like an operating system for a health community: — The rules are public and written in the protocol, not in some company's backend. — Contributing content, giving advice, and answering questions are all recorded as long-term contributions. — The community can incentivize based on the protocol, instead of waiting for the platform to hand out favors. For me, the most important benefit is trust. When health experiences, science popularization content, and doctor/patient interactions all operate on the same open and transparent protocol, it's easier to judge who is truly contributing long-term and who is just popping in for a quick buck. Simply put, Health Protocol aims to create a set of underlying rules that allow us to truly own our own health community. This is why I'm willing to observe and gradually participate.
