Twitter, like other media, is an information overload. Simplifying is really satisfying. I created a private list of bloggers I like and find valuable, a small group of a few dozen people. This makes me much more efficient every day, and the community is much quieter. I recommend everyone who follows more than 1000 people to try this. Creating a follower list is like organizing; it's essentially categorization. It reminds me of a subject I studied for my postgraduate entrance exam: library science.
