In Hualien's Guangfu Township, a typhoon-induced landslide caused a dammed lake to overflow, flooding the township. First-floor homes and cars were buried under a thick layer of mud, leaving nearly 100 residents dead, injured, or missing.
In addition to the Shovel Superman and volunteer rescue efforts, Binance Charity has also partnered with the Blockchain Enthusiasts Association to launch a virtual asset charitable donation program. A total of 117,210 USDT (equivalent to approximately NT$3.57 million) has been raised and donated in full to the Disaster Relief Foundation's special account to assist with reconstruction efforts in the affected areas.
