Permissionless systems can be the best products. If every part of the stack is permissionless, and the protocol is designed around real-time competition within each part of the stack, the best products will ultimately emerge. Ensuring that hostile actors can't disrupt or undermine the interests of everyone else is incredibly difficult. Solving these challenges is worthwhile, because the ultimate winner will be the protocol that single-handedly provides a market for everyone and everything on the planet.
