Due to time constraints, I only managed to listen carefully to the first episode of Lao Luo's Crossroads. In short, Li Xiang is a true man. Over the course of four hours, I've covered everything from the shallows of life experience to the depths of his reflections and observations. There are a few things that left a deep impression on me that I'd like to record. 1️⃣ Li Xiang recounted how, when he first arrived in Shijiazhuang as a child, people bullied him, but after he fought back, they stopped bullying him. 2️⃣ His parents are both artists, and they were able to support themselves by high school. They were very open-minded and supported him in not going to college and pursuing his passion. 3️⃣ His entrepreneurial journey was so smooth that, at the height of his ideal, his family's savings were depleted and he nearly collapsed. Only to be saved by Wang Xing's $300 million investment did Li Xiang burst into tears. He's a man of character. 4️⃣ His observations on people who accomplish great things are summarized in three points: 1. The ability to make accurate choices, 2. The ability to work on things that can be done for a long time, 3. The ability to iterate at a very high frequency. This then extends to the relationship between self-development and learning in the AI era: pre-training is like reading, post-training is like reviewing with others, and reinforcement learning is high-frequency, continuous practice. 5️⃣ Regarding those negative articles and PR campaigns, Li Xiang even feels that responding and counterattacking only makes him like them, and he doesn't want to be that kind of person. Instead, when faced with negative comments, he returns to make his products better. 6️⃣ Friends say Lei Jun is incredibly energetic and competitive. But Li Xiang exercises three times a week, doing at least 150 push-ups daily. Even with this simple feat, I suspect 99% of people can't do it.
