Here's my honest opinion: My approach is to invest heavily, not go all-in. I find Diamond accounts to partner with, and if I have any remaining funds, I use my own Gold account. I calculated the price of both, and even if I give a 20% share to my partners, it's still slightly better than going Gold myself. This is a significant test of your established relationships and social skills. If you rarely engage in this kind of collaboration, I suggest you avoid this rashly and proceed within your means.
