At the Stripe office, I saw their book corner, filled with books from their publishing team and print editions of "Works in Progress" magazine. I couldn't put them down. (For a moment, I really wanted to go back to making magazines.) The guy who invited me said, "Take whatever you like." I was about to explode! Holy crap! Why didn't you tell me about this earlier? I would have come with my suitcase! One of the reasons I love Stripe so much is that they have such a great culture. For a tech company, they have a publishing team, and their publications are high-quality and interesting (for example, their recent book about AI, "The Scaling Era," by Dwarkesh).
