Stablecoin issuer Tether @Tether_to disclosed in its Q2 2025 report that its US Treasury holdings reached $127 billion, surpassing South Korea's $124.2 billion, making it the world's 18th-largest holder of US Treasury bonds. This figure represents a $7 billion increase from the first quarter, comprising $105.5 billion in direct holdings and $21.3 billion in indirect holdings.
Tether's $USDT supply has grown by $26 billion since the beginning of the year, bringing its market capitalization to $163.6 billion, a year-to-date increase of nearly 19%. This reflects the continued rise in global demand for US dollar-denominated stablecoins.
