6 月 3 日，据彭博社报道，对于有法律义务监管员工 401(k) 投资的雇主而言，潜在的诉讼风险可能会阻碍美国总统唐纳德·特朗普推动将更多加密货币纳入员工退休账户的努力。

美国劳工部已撤销拜登政府时期的指导意见，该意见曾警告企业退休计划避免配置数字资产。这是白宫更广泛政策转向的一部分，旨在推动将 401(k) 账户开放给包括私募股权在内的另类资产，尤其是在特朗普支持的企业加码比特币投资之际。

目前，加密资产在价值达 9 万亿美元的 401(k) 市场中所占比例不到 1%，而该市场传统上几乎完全集中于股票和债券。
