On April 24, according to AXIOS, citing people familiar with the matter, Musk, head of the U.S. Department of Efficiency (DOGE), and U.S. Treasury Secretary Becent Becent, broke out in the West Wing Corridor of the White House on Thursday over the IRS personnel appointments, and President Trump and other officials were on the spot.
"Two billionaires and middle-aged men regarded the West Wing Hall of the White House as a professional wrestling (WWE) field," one witness said. "They did not do anything in the Oval Office, but the president witnessed the conflict. The two then continued the dispute into the corridor and another fierce quarrel broke out," said one of the witnesses. Last Thursday, Becent and Musk confronted at a meeting at the White House, and a source said that "the shells at the beginning of F began to fly randomly (swear words all over the sky)." Becent criticized Musk's commitment to DOGE's budget cuts were too high, but failed to deliver on it. Musk retorted, calling Becente "Soros' agent" and accusing him of running a "failed hedge fund."
It is reported that the quarrel between the two sides was fierce and even "attached" for a time, and finally ended with an assistant intervening to separate the two.
