The Ethereum Foundation has launched the "dAI Team" to position Ethereum as the primary settlement layer for AI agents and the machine economy. The initiative focuses on building tools for AI transactions without intermediaries and developing a decentralized AI stack to avoid reliance on centralized companies. Key to this effort is ERC-8004, a new standard providing on-chain reputation scores for AI agents. The Foundation will collaborate with the Linux Foundation and A2A stakeholders to refine the standard. This move aligns with similar efforts by NEAR Protocol and Solana to establish blockchain infrastructure for the AI economy.
