According to Bijie.com, on September 5th, Trump Media & Technology Group (Nasdaq, NYSE Texas: DJT) announced the completion of its acquisition agreement with Crypto.com. Under the agreement, Trump Media will acquire 684.4 million Cronos (CRO) tokens at a price of approximately 15.3 cents per token in a 50% stock, 50% cash transaction. The tokens represent approximately 2% of the current circulating supply of CRO. Trump Media will hold these tokens in custody through Crypto.com Custody and can be staked to generate income. The partnership also includes integrating CRO tokens into the Truth Social and Truth+ platforms as part of their rewards system. Simultaneously, Trump Media's newly formed entity, Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc., has entered into a business merger agreement with Yorkville Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: YORK). The acquisition will focus on the acquisition and management of CRO tokens, further expanding its digital asset strategy.
