Today, on payday, X suspended the monetization eligibility of a large number of creators.
There was no warning or explanation; opening Creator Studio directly showed "Revenue Sharing Paused."
The main affected accounts were those that relied on replying and interacting to inflate exposure, especially crypto accounts 🥹
After a round of checks, X is currently cleaning up accounts that were spamming.
The old strategy was: massively reply to popular tweets → gain exposure → earn revenue.
This may no longer work.
For those who seriously create content, this is actually good news.
The algorithm is already biased towards original content.
Instead of worrying about suspension,
it's better to look back at your content strategy.
Are you "creating value" or "inflating data"?
By the way, seeing others earning more and more while I'm earning less and less 😱
I need to find a way to break through this barrier.
